The Five

A Whisper in the Moonlight

Prophacy:

The Moon will Whisper to the Wind,The Wind will Whisper to the Forest,and all will be Fortold withing the Stars.

Prologue:

A Young cat bounced through the mist to a rocky slope.A trickle of water flowed out of a moss covered rock.A small narrow cave opened up where the water flowed out.The young cat scrambled into the cave,her belly fur brushing the moist rock,and her head bent low as she truged through the water.She started walking and the cave got wider.A bright light shone in the distance.Sha ran towards it,her soft paws splashing in the shallow puddles.She cam into a cavern and gasped.All around her were bright flowers, glowing in the pale eerie light.A large pool was in the middle of the cavern.Five waterfalls poured into it.Suddenly the water stopped and the pool became still.She moved closer to the pool and glaced in.A picture formed and she saw five cats battling through the snow and rain.A leaf floated onto it and the image vanished.Suddenly the young cat heard voices."We hav been waiting for you."asolemn voice whispered.The cat swung her head around but she couldnt see anything."Do not be frightened.We are the Moon cats."A chorus of voices whispered.The young cat closed her eyes shut in terror,and when she opened them, silver furred cats stared back at her.They had blank,emotionless blue eyes.The cat held back a shriek of horror.The cats blank blue eyes had no pupils and no white.They had blood red noses and black chests.The leader had a black scar on his eye and the two other cats had scars also.They went up and held the cat down.The leader touched her eye with his nose and a brown mark appeared.The two other cats tied an orange ribbon around her tail.They put a leaf on her hip and a teardrop on her forepaw."The symbol on your eyes resembels fear.If you fail us that shall be a scar.The ribbon resembels balance.If you fail us your tail will be cut off.The leaf symbol resembels Moonleaf, She was the first Moon Cat.If you fail us you shall become a moon cat.Last of all the teardrop.This resembels sorrow.If you fail us you must live in this cave forever.Now look into the pool."the leader meowed.The cat gasped.she was no longer white but silver.And her eyes werent burning amber they were pale blue,shining pale grey in the moonlight."Your name shall be Whisper.And you shall tell no one of our meeting!.The leader snarled and the Moon cats vanished leaving the wailing cat behind.
